Career Summary
Daniel’s business career began in Chapel Hill after attending the University of North Carolina. He remained in the Triangle area for several years, helping to grow a start-up mail order business based in Hillsborough, NC. Daniel began his real estate career in Boca Raton, Florida with Newman Commercial, a developer specializing in retail and office products in the South Florida market. In 2001, he broadened his real estate experience by working in the dynamic and competitive Atlanta market. While there, he worked for King
Industrial Realty where he represented landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers.
Since returning to Asheville in 2005, Daniel has expanded his reach in commercial real estate to all sectors: retail, office, industrial and land. To date, he has negotiated over $14 million dollars in leases and sales, including over $10 million in volume in 2008.
Daniel has carved out a niche as a specialist in industrial property with Spake Real Estate, yet continues to serve clients of every
sector type.

A native of Asheville, Daniel and his wife Lizzy returned to their hometown in 2005. They have 2 daughters: Abby and Davies.
Daniel is an outdoor enthusiast and is an avid runner and mountain biker.
