Career Summary

Lara joined Spake Real Estate in June 2007 as Office Manager and Assistant to John Spake. In this role she is responsible for most of the administrative tasks in the office, including creating our marketing documents and property flyers. She also handles property management for Nettlewood Professional Park.

Lara is originally from Omaha, Nebraska and after receiving her Communications degree from UNL, moved to New York City where she spent ten years. While there, she primarily worked in the executive search and hedge fund industry, assisting CEO’s in an administrative and research capacity. Lara longed for a major change in scenery and lifestyle, so in 2006 moved to Asheville, NC. Before joining Spake Real Estate, she worked as an Office Manager and Event Planner at UNC Asheville.

Personal

Lara lives in Arden where she shares the majority of her square footage with her dog Calypso and cat Sam. Lara is self-professed foodie and enjoys reading, writing and hiking (walking). She is also a Wedding Officiant and Energy Healer.
